Flex 1.5 HTTPService and crossdomain issue
Hello all,
Just a quick pointer from a Flex 1.5 maintenance project we're working on.
In brief, a Flex 1.5 client was accessing XML over HTTP on a different domain, and as such was subject to crossdomain.xml restrictions.
The requests worked fine on player 9.0....more

Can I Have Source Code with That?
Hey, it's a good year to be a Flex developer. Over at onflex.org Ted Patrick has just announced that the ENTIRE Flex SDK (including compilers and debuggers) is going OS under the Mozilla Public License.

Dump and Trace Actionscript
I'm a big fan of adding tracing output to my code to confirm that it's doing what I think it's doing, and if not to help me debug it quickly.
Writing tracing code can be a labourious task, so over time I've developed some reusable tracing code for Actionscript and ColdFusion....more

Flex Store 1.5 Doesn't Start Up
If you've found all the Flex 1.5 sample apps work except for the Flex Store, try adding -Djava.awt.headless=true to your jvm.config.
We had this problem so I first added the -verbose option to jvm....more
